Awareness campaigns

One of our main goals is to spread the information about PH to facilitate early diagnosis. It also helps for the wider community to better understand the difficulties PH patients are living with in their everyday life.

O2Kids campaign

O2Kids was originally a campaign developed by PH Austria and also later made available to PHA Europe. The campaign was based around a short movie describing a young boy (Thomas) suffering from PH. In the film, we see Thomas secluded from his playing friends.

Rare Disease Day

Rare Disease Day (RDD) was established in 2008 by the European Organization for Rare Diseases (EURORDIS) to raise awareness of rare diseases and improve access to treatment for rare disease patients and their families. It is held on the last day of February. Even though the campaign started as a European initiative, it has progressively become a global event, with the USA joining in 2009, and it saw the participation of 84 countries worldwide in 2014.

Previous campaigns

PHA Europe and its members ran a handful of awareness campaigns with great success. We participated as charity partner in very famous series of sport events and kicked-off online activities, which attracted a lot of followers.
